California Efficiency Group - Scam that tries to sell you expensive water filtration

These guys from California Efficiency Group and other companies like it will knock on your door and claim to be in the neighborhood "checking the quality of your water." The guy will come into your house and no matter what water you have coming out of your tap his "tests" will determine that your water is contaminated and carcinogenic. Then he will offer to sell you some reverse osmosis filtration systems worth maybe $150. each for about $11,000. each. These will include 5 years or more of free filters, but still, the value comes to maybe $1000. total if that and the markup is 10-11X.

If he thinks you're a live one he will try to sell you new plumbing, to change out all your pipes, new tankless water heaters, new whole house softener systems - all at extremely exorbitant prices.

Of course they finance all of this at exorbitant interest rates so that you'll be paying for this the rest of your life with low monthly payments.

Don't let these people trying to sell you filtration systems or anything like that into your house! Just go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy the same things at a fraction of the price. These teams of salesmen aren't working for free and neither is this and other like it scam companies.
